M.P. Snyders is a NYC-based comedian and a former journalist, lifeguard, English teacher, and weed dealer. (Emphasis on former. Relax, officer).
Born in South Dakota, M.P. has lived all over the world: Denver, Philadelphia, China, Minnesota, The Netherlands, and—most exotically—rural Iowa. It’s a journey that’s yielded a ton of material and a really weird accent.
Before turning to comedy, M.P. was an award-winning reporter, writing for The Village Voice, THC Magazine, LA Weekly, and Minneapolis City Pages. As a talking head, he appeared on MSNBC’s “The Ed Show”, “Fox News Live”, and Air America’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.” His essays have been featured in Best AltWeekly Writing: 2009 & 2010 and a college textbook called Convergences: Themes, Texts, and Images for Composition.
A relative newcomer to the New York comedy scene, M.P. performs at clubs throughout the city, including Eastville Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and The Stand.
